In a world where people are staying away from politics and political leaders, only very few like to be a part of it and come out with flying colours. In that list, Enrique Peña Nieto is a highly reputed Mexican politician and the one behind several revolutionary changes in North America. He was born at Atlacomulco, a small city in the State of Mexico on 20th of July, 1966. He is an active member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party, which is also locally known as Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI). His father was working in Federal Electricity Commission, which was the second most powerful state based electric company belonging to Mexico. On the other hand, his mother was a simple school teacher. Even today several people are puzzled as how he managed to become such an esteemed politician without coming from any kind of political background. It all started when he was a class representative for several public ceremonies in his high school. He started socialising with the big heads of Mexican politics and made sincere attempts to impress them on their meeting itself. He finished his Bachelor’s degree in the honourable University of Panamerican followed by a Master’s in Business at Monterrey Institute of Technology. He soon became Citizen Zone Movement’s secretary as a result of his social work. In fact, he gained high degree of reputation by becoming a part of this Mexican political party that has been highly successful in holding power for a long time in that country. Enrique Peña Nieto soon managed to serve as the governor of Mexican state from 2005 to 2011, which soon made him the face of Mexico. On the month of September, 2011 he publicly announced his candidature for 2012 Mexican Presidential Election, where he has to serve a six year term by replacing Felipe Calderón. In fact, according to a recent diplomatic cable article released by WikiLeaks on May 2011, Enrique Peña Nieto was often referred to as the “next president of Mexico”.
